Cormorant at Rushy Common

22 Aug 2020
A painting of a black Cormorant sitting on top of a dead tree branch. The wind is blowing its head feathers into a tuft

I wouldn’t normally feel motivated to paint a Cormorant, but this one I saw at Rushy Common had an intriguing shape. Both bird and perch were very angular and the way it’s feathers were spiked up in the wind looked like a brush pen.

Drawn on the iPad Pro in vectors using Adobe Fresco
