A recent musical discovery of mine are the Swedish duo of Maria Lindén and Fredrik Balck, known as I Break Horses. A dreamy shoegaze type of electronic pop* that really hits the spot with me quite frankly. The record label should’ve given me a clue that I would like them - Bella Union are the stable for many of my favourite artists like Midlake, Beach House and John Grant.
So far there is only their 2011 debut album ‘Hearts’ to listen to, but I’m hoping for many more. It's been on repeat for the last few weeks at the Hicksdesign bunker. Mentioning them on Twitter showed that there is a lot of love for them out there too.
