I'm trying out a different painting style for this scene of a murder of Crows in a wintery field. The subject matter suggested a black and white approach, so I created this in Adobe Fresco using a similar approach to a layered linocut. It's really liberating to not worry about getting the colour right (which is often a source of stress for me).
I'm always drawn back to Fresco because of its vector brushes, and in this example, it paid dividends. I could rearrange and resize the various elements as much as I wanted until I was happy with the composition.
