If there was one person I can trace my career path back to, it’s Tony Hart. Quite simply, it was all because of him that I became interested in art, and inspired me to follow the path I’m on today. He was no traditionalist, and his spark was to use whatever medium excited him - from painting elephants on airfiields to swirling paint from suspended fairy liquid bottles. His enthusiasm, it seemed, was unrelenting, and it certainly made an impression on me.
Once Samantha asked me about TV shows I watched when I was young. I told her about Take Hart, and explained that it was “like Art Attack, only good”.
