Hill House font

Hill House is a typeface based on the distinctive handwriting of Glasgow architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928). The Hill House is a building originally designed for the publisher Walter Blackie, and is now in the care of The National Trust for Scotland. Now that the copyright on his handwriting style is in the public domain, this typeface is seen everywhere in Glasgow, from jewellers to chip shops! For more information on Mackintosh visit the CRM Society.

I made this font almost twenty years ago, but it's still popular due to American Horror Story (and it's suitability for wedding invitations!). The font features special glyphs for the words ‘to’, ‘at’ and ‘of’, and contains Mac, PC and Opentype formats.

Hill House isn't foundry quality, but it is free to use in every way, including embedding on websites with @font-face.
